Time to catch up on our blog!
In October we spent some time in Colorado, stopping first in Trinidad then making our way north of Denver to Longmont. St. Vrain State Park was right off Interstate 25 and about 45 minutes south of Fort Collins, an hour north of Denver and about 30 minutes east of Boulder.
The weather was still warm enough to be comfortable outside and the fall colors were incredible. The park was spacious and had plenty of walking trails for me and the dogs. There were several small lakes and while my photos are decent, it is something that should be seen in person.
Clay had to work quite a bit but with the view it wasn’t so bad. He rode around on his skateboard some and visited his friend Nikolay in Denver while we were there.
I also ventured into Boulder for a day and enjoyed some window shopping. We also ate dinner in Niwot with Clay’s aunt who lives there.
We really hope to make it back to Colorado again soon, it was beautiful and we didn’t get to see enough while we were there. Colorado Springs and Pagosa Springs are definitely on our list for next time.
From here we went to Caprock Canyon in Quitaque. It was a long drive so we stayed the night at a rest stop along the way. Definitely would stop there again.
